Humidity at night Help
As of right now i've got a tent grow with ventilation and everything and i'm on my 12/12. During the light time the humidty is constant around 45-50% humidity. At night I turn everything off (including exhaust fan) and patch up the vent holes so no light can come in. the problem with this is at night the humidity in the tent is reaching up to 70% which i'm assuming can be bad and cause mold.
should i be keeping my exhaust fan on all night as well? only problem with that is in the morning the area outside the tent gets a bit bright and could leak light in thru vent holes which would need to stay open for airflow.
any suggestions?cypher420 Reviewed by cypher420 on . Humidity at night Help As of right now i've got a tent grow with ventilation and everything and i'm on my 12/12. You are right to be concerned with the humidity. It is at the upper threshold. It probably will not present problems during veg and early flower, however, once denser buds develop you could easily face bud rot.
You can mitigate light leaks by creating a 90 degree elbow in your ducting after it leaves the tent.

I am not sure why you turn thing of all night the plants still need air circulation and temps to be kept between 72-76%. :stoned:

Just like you, plants like to have fresh air even when they sleep. You need to keep fresh air for them, and there should be a fan inside to blow across the plants. If there is light coming out the vents, you will need to remedy it, and I would try it first by buying a can of FLAT (non reflective) black spray paint. WalMart has them for 99 cents a can. Then spray the inside ends of the vent pipe. Other methods also work.

They make 90 degree elbows out of flashing but you can just as easily bend flexible duct into a 90 elbow.
