why did it go back to 3 leaves?

The set-up i have is two plants, with 2 -75 watt flourescent tubes. the 2nd tube was just added, and before that the top had 5 leaves, now that the 2nd light is there, the top is back to 3 leaves. why would this happen?

interesting cuz i did some topping about 2 weeks before i flowered and then i lst'd when i started to flower, the lower nodes and my top nodes are three or five leaf sets. dont mean to jack but i thought this was relevand, if the leaves are in early stages in flowering will the buds be of lower yield? i would assume they would yield lower, similar to non-cola buds. what you guys think?

I read that when they go into flowering and are more mature, the number of blades will start to go down.

That was in my 20 year old growers guide. Hope it is the truth.

I wouldn't worry unless your plants start to look sick. :thumbsup:

i dont know why, but one of the leaves has 4 fingers.. weird. another question, i know the soil i have is to dense, it should be looser, is there any besy way to transfer them into another pot with better ssoil with ou damaing the plant?

These are starting out so they are in small pots now, correct? If yes, then just wait until they are ready to transplant to bigger pots and get the soil right for the next pots. See link in my signature about importance of re-potting. Assumes you are doing a soil grow.

I believe that the plants with grow fan leaf sets with higher numbers of leaves if they are not getting sufficient light I remember getting 9 leaf fans during veg before I added 2 105w Cfl's but after adding them they went back to 5-7. Maybe the added light is now sufficient?

Its called a "TRIPLOID" and comes purely from the seeds genetics.
