Oh well wait a second. Republican presidents are remembered precisely for the good policies and generosity... by the top 5% wealth holders (for dog-ball-sweat waiting to pull the trigger on that comment, note I am talking about the top 5% of wealth holders, not income earners). The rest of America gets screwed. When anything approaching a populous bill is introduced it is shouted down as being part of a socialist, communist agenda. No problem bailing out the banks, the insurance companies, and the car makers. That's not socialism... but when it comes to helping struggling home owners at the losing end of these policies all of a sudden we start hearing about the "moral hazard" and socialism. Truly pathetic. How working class Americans think for a second that Republicans represent their interests in beyond me.

But let's not go too far. We have been mightily let down by the Democrats as well who also serve the same master. They are the flip side of same coin really. They are are just a bit more equitable is all. I'd prefer to see a real third party in this country. Obviously that will only come about if there is a shit fight to reform election financing. Doesn't look likely from where I sit. Corporate America and the top 5% of wealth holders will never let that happen.
