Plants being destroyed. Will they recover ?

I used to have a mice and slug problem when growing outdoor. Mice were knawing holes into the bases of my outdoor plants and making burrows up in the stems, it was crazy. I have had these plants growing since late april, early may, and within the last couple days, the lower 50% of my plant has been chewed up but what I assume are crickets. I have some insecticidal soap which I am waiting until a day or two to use due to big storms coming this way, but what I wanted to know is if they will recover. They still have well over a month until they will begin flowering judging by the light in my location, and I have heard that if a plant has a attack Rating: 5
