Secondary Bud Growth
I thought I was close to harvest, and had been flushing, but then my buds started to burst out with new white hairs. My older trikes are white with a few ambers and the older leaves are starting to die off. I'm concerned because the bud leaves are starting to yellow and brown also. Do I let it go till the new set of white hairs mature?

the hairs really have nothing to do with it you probly over nuted them and flushing brought them back you should get a 30x magnifier and look at the trichs if there cloudy it will give you a uplifting high and if there all or most are amber then your have some couch patatto bud but idk id let them go a little longer how many day have you been flowering for??:rastasmoke:

They are on week 11. I've been growing the same strain for 3 harvests and never had it happen before. It's been hot as hell lately and I haven't had these temps before either. The new growth is also sort of spindly, sort of looks like little christmas trees growing out of a gigantic christmas trees. The trichs on the older buds are cloudy and ready. I'm going to give them one more flush and harvest in a few days. This heat is hard to handle!

Do you have any pics?
Ive had a plant that had little stems shoot out from the big buds with little whispy buds hanging on the end of them. The plant was definitely stressed from the heat so maybe we had the same thing.

You posted pics as I posted my request...
It does look similar to what happened with my heat stressed plant that had the stretched out budlets.
Nice ladies by the way.
How many weeks does that strain say it needs? You should be fine just with the plain water flushes you are doing.

They usually only go 10 weeks so I'm a week past. They sort of stalled then the new buds popped up.

Go with your original thought on it I'd say . .flush it and leave it a while longer. I have seen other peoples grows (hey you know what dudes are like - cant help but show off. !!!) where this has happened. . plants look as though they r nearly ready and all of a sudden they go again - I've heard it referred to as " Podding " - then they start to brown off and woosh they can go a third time.!!! . . .but maybe that guy was right about it being heat stress ??
