NOW you guys want to bitch about the deficit? Your joking right?

I've heard and and experienced short term memory loss from smoking a lot of weed. The Tea Party and Republicans experienced selective short term memory loss. They have totaly forgotten which party ran that tab up in the first place.

Allow me to refresh your non existant memory.

Wasn't it you friend Dick, I have no heart, Chaney that said a few years ago AND I QUOTE "Deficits Don't Matter" Odd, You guys are now singing out of the other side of your mouth? I guess what he meant to say was Deficits don't matter if you are a Republican.

Now before you say it is ALL Obama's fault Let us look back at some of your Hero's missteps,

Iraq war.... do you want to tell me why your Hero Bush attacked a country that did nothing to us? Tab 1.2 Trillion and climbing each day.

Tax cuts for realy rich people... for 8 years... 1.7 T lost over 10 years. Source of that is the Brookings Institute.... you do know what a source is?

Cost of Medicare Drug Benifit (that conviently excludes drugs not made in the US) 350 B

Now add those up...There goes you 3 trillion. Given to (in order) the military, realy rich people, and American Drug Makers. So in your bent world that is fine.

Hell, You tight bastards wouldn't even pony up 40 B to extend unemployment bennes. (except the Two R senators from Maine - Ben Nelson) I believe your party called them bums.

    So in Reality....

If you want to live like a Republican....Vote Democrat.

    And you still got nothing.

A lo fuckin ha. Back to ignore for you.

Let's look a bit further back.

In the 1980s we had anemic growth at best. Thanks Reagan / Bush I (Republicans).

In the 1990s we had one of the most extensive periods of growth in the modern history of our nation. Thanks Clinton (Democrat).

In the first decade of this century we had a president that took a record surplus and turned in into a trillion dollar deficit while crashing our economy into the ground the likes of which we have not see since 1929. Thanks Bush II (Republican).

What amazes me is that Republicans get any support from average Americans News flash. If you are 30+ and you are making less than 250K / year you are unlikely to ever be part of the crowd that Republicans represent. It's that simple. This is about class folks - the rich vs. everyone else.

In REALITY.....you want a government that decides what you can eat and how much? You want a Government that seeks to tell you how much gas you can use and how far you can drive? Want a govt that decides what treatments they think you deserve medically? You want a Govt. that seeks to control the internet and radio and who can get on and for how long? You want a Govt. that decides FOR YOU when you have made enough money? You want a govt that monitors how much energy you and your family use and how much water? Want a Govt that literally has to bribe its own members to sign their names to legislation they havent even read? Want a Govt that CONTINUES running up the debt? Want a a Govt. that seeks to shut down tv shows that disagrees with them?

If so......VOTE DEMOCRAT/SOCIALIST, they are the party of controling and spying on the American people. Hands fuckin down.imp:

Good luck with that Platform, you'll see real soon its a loser.

Oh right because those are the choices we are faced with - totalitarian / Stalinist type government under the democrats or what, compassionate conservatism under the Republicans? Are you really that simplistic? Do you ever sit back and consider what you are saying? Your rhetoric is so over the top that is it laughable.

And this from the party that brought us the PATRIOT act and warrantless wire taps...

true, but it didn't it take repub congress to finally get Bubba in line? (financially speaking that is :rastasmoke. seems to me the 80's we have a dem congress and repub white house, things hum along okay nothing real earth shaking, we switch the two and we got a balanced budget and the greatest economic boom in our lifetime. put either of the parties in charge of both branches and all hell brakes loose. :twocents: financially speaking.

The jury is still out on Obama regardless of what shrill voices like Spinning Top Islandboy say. I'm not overly impressed in some regards, but I'm reasonably pleased with health care reform, the financial reform that just passed, SCHIP expansion, credit card reform, and a few others. You can't expect him to fix in 2 years what it took Bush 8 years to break.

Yes that's right, I lay it at the feet of Bush. Recall that Bush started with a $236 billion surplus. He introduced huge unfunded programs that make up 33% of today's debt burden - the unfunded Medicare Prescription plan, and the unfunded tax cuts for the rich, including $630 billion for the top 1% of income earners.

By 2004 Bush had blown through the Clinton surplus, raided the social security trust fund for $150 billion, and racked up $415 billion in deficits (total deficit is $565 if you add in the $150 stolen from social security and $801 billion if you add the $236 billion surplus that he squandered). By the time he left office we were $1.2 trillion in debt (not including sums raided or inherited), we were bleeding money from two unfinished wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the housing market had collapsed resulting in unprecedented government intervention to bailout our financial institutions (TARP), and on top of all that our labor market was hemorrhaging 750,000 jobs per month.

Sorry, you broke it, you own it. With a record like that do you really expect us to believe that the Republicans should be in charge of anything? I wouldn't trust them with my checking account, would you? Or is this the new and improved Republicans (read Glenn Beck + Sarah Palin Teabaggers)? Hahahahaha. Give us a break already.

OK Islandboy. Your turn. Spin baby spin.

Hey it just occurred to me why you think I must be a Journo (Glenn Beck speak). It is because I can pull together disparate and complex facts and weave them into a convincing narrative that is historically accurate. Sorry. I'm just educated. It took me 3 years to get my undergrad not 7 and 2 years to get my Masters. But prove me wrong. You write and equally convincing and historically accurate rebuttal. Yeah... didn't think so. Go back to Call of Duty. That's something you do well.

yeah, I don't think your going to get any arguement from anyone on this forum that shrub f'd things up almost beyond repair. That almost seemed to be his mission. :wtf:

like I've said before, I voted for John McCain but I have liked some things Obama has done, like chilling out on the mmj states but we need to stop borrowing so much money, whichever party is charge. :twocents: yes definately let let the shrub tax cuts expire. good riddence. I personally think there should be NO income tax for anyone making under $250K. okay, let the commie lables fly.

and I also wouldn't let the congress off so easy, they write the budget.
