same thing happened to me sort of. In school gave a friend $50 a day early for a quarter oz because he had no money to get it. Next day he tells me he got bear maced by a bunch of guys and they took all his money and all his dealers weed. I told him I thought he was full of shit and then he walks by me and hits me with his shoulder and the next thing I know we are fighting in the classroom and the teacher is pulling me by my shirt to the office.

Another instance is when my locker partner in high school told me some kids came by and stole my carton of cigarrettes out of the locker while he was getting his stuff out. Can't even trust a kid who was my friend from elementary school.

Friends gives him 45, guy says he'll be back with it in a minute... guy calls and says hes on his way... guy gets busted speeding down a road during the middle of the day.
