Michigan Probation Question
I got pulled over and arrested/charged with possession right around the time I was being diagnosed with Crohn's. I was throwing up blood every couple months and wanted it checked out. This was almost six months ago, I'm well into treatment at this stage.
As soon as I had to stop smoking my body went haywire, nausea, pain and the inability to stay vertical. I can't even work some days, which makes bills and court fines tough.
Turns out I had Crohn's Disease, and the only med's that help me is MMJ.
I'm receiving treatment right now, but as for my symptoms they can't or won't give me anything for it. The medications are upwards of a thousand dollars per prescription
So now I'm on probation with a debilitating disease, for Possession. And the only thing that makes me functional is what I was charged with having.
My question is if anyone has any advice for me? Am I still eligible for a card, would I need legal representation?
Getting the signature wouldn't be hard, I just don't want the courts to put me in prison for breaking probation when I test.
I need help people.

Michigan Probation Question
The way things work here is a doctors note/PERSCRIPTION trumps Probation Officer.
Let's take this to extreme. You are on probation. Get in a car wreck, Get hurt real bad. Opiates are given to you. Next test is dirty. Will they chuck you in jail? No. A doctor perscribed those meds to you.
Same thing with MMJ.
Now cover your ass. Talk to a lawyer. Will cost you a bit but then you will know where you stand. I would bet you will be able to tell your PO to go pound sand.
