Picking A Strain for Fall 2010 - INDOOR

    Heyall,
I'm just looking around www.nirvana.com right now, trying to select feminized seeds to buy for this upcoming fall/winter indoor. I have a four foot tall space, so I need something short. I also want a plant with average or above average yield, and something with a high THC level. I am also a beginner to Indoor growing so I need somethng with a grow difficulty of easy or moderate. So... feminized, short (indica), indoor, large yeild, dank, and easy to grow!

If you guys have a few extra minutes and wanta snoop around their site and give me some suggestions according to the above standards it would be much appreciated!!

Here's the link to all the feminized seeds they have. I'm thinking about trying two different strains in the same grow (5 seeds of each = so 10 in total.) I was thinking about doing NY Deis or White Widow, along with the Short Rider.... I don't know yet though :rastasmoke:

AK-48 and Master Kush. You won't be disappointed.

Both are relatively easy to grow, are known for their high yields and potency, and they finish quickly (50 - 60 days). Concerning height, you simply need to know what you are growing and then time veg growth accordingly. Assuming you have 4' I'm giving 1' for the light. That leaves 3' for everything else. You would not want to veg these much past 8 inches. That said, there are others here with far more experience so once you have settle on the strains you should post a question detailing your grow environment and seeking advice on veg height. Also, consider doing a scrog grow. See: An Overview of Cannabis Training (ScrOG, SoG, FIM, Supercrop, LST, etc.) Check my signature for some tutorials that you may find useful.

Note that I just purchased some nirvana seeds via seedboutique.com. They aggregate from a number of seed suppliers so you are not limited to one. Two thumbs up for seedboutique.

The PPP (pure power plant) could easily fill that bill....height will be of your making (amount of veg time)
I'll be starting with it for the first time this fall myself....I chose it from what I've read.
Do a search here on this site....I expect it to be a winner.

She's a rather up smoke (sativa) in a rather indica looking body.

    Luck in your decision,
    HMR

    hello

ive had the 48 - got just short of a half pound from one female that was vegged for 6 weeks

i would recommend sticking with good old "non-fem." seeds but that's just me.

    good luck your way

Have you shopped around to look at all breeders? I just had a fun time over at the single seed place called something like worldwide-marijuana. Was going to pick up 5 red dragons from Barneys and ended up getting 2 red dragons, 1 red diesel, 2 cherry berry, 1 g13haze seeds that will be labeled individualy and packed with a piece of the breeders pack to show what it is coming from. Also grabbed some Mr Nice gear without having to buy a full pack. Used them before 100% germ and great genetics. Also like seedboutique and attitude. I'm not big on fems but have had some good smoke from them.

What are the negatives associated with feminized seeds? Is it just cost?

i'd also like to know as well. All i bought were fem seeds. I dont know why they'd be bad if they basically give you 90% chance of a feminized plant compared to 50% chance. And i'm guessing the 10% difference is for either people who didn't feminize them properly or from not taking care of the plant and it turning hermi or male. just guessing tho

i steer clear of fem. seeds because they have a higher chance of going hermaphrodite. More so if a given grower is not providing a completey uninterrupted dark period during flowering.
also, because most well nurtured seedlings will go the girl route if they are pampered just right. Classical music in the grow room helps in my opinion :-)

just my preference, not bashing anyone who prefers feminized seeds.

    thanks
