I keep 8 frozen water bottles in rotation right now.
Before i froze them, i poured out a little water to allow for expansion.
I keep this many so I never have to wait for one of them to fully freeze, just take the thawed bottle out of the res and pop in the freezer, grab a frozen one out and put it in the res.

Only really seem to 'need' it when the temps outdoors get near 90, since everyone in the area turns on the AC and power becomes unstable. The question becomes: is it OK, or even worth it, to fill a clean plastic bag (sealable) with ice cubes and place it in the rez. to help lower temp a few degrees?
