Looking for a Caregiver? Here are some questions u might want to ask.
What motivates the desire to be a caregiver? Sick Spouse. I am her care giver.
What experience does the caregiver have with growing? more than enough
Has the caregiver attended a RIPAC orientation? If not, why not? No, mostly crack pots there. Growing quality meds is a skill, which most of them lack.
Does the caregiver have other patients? Has the caregiver been dropped by a patient? Yes and no respectively.
What knowledge of strains does the caregiver have? Experience with at least 8 different strains of all 3 types. Sativa, Indica and hybrids of both.
What strains are best for your condition? Discussion needed.
Does the caregiver have access to these strains? Any strain needed.
How much medicine do you need, and how often? Can the caregiver meet your needs? As much as you can smoke... I can grow.
Reimbursement for costs: What are the costs? How often do they expect to be reimbursed? Can you realistically afford these costs? Strain dependent. Some are almost maintenance free, others... not so much.
Will the caregiver pay the registration fee? No. I am helping you. Some advice.. Don't get overly demanding. I gain nothing by helping you, other than the satisfaction of helping someone in need. Whatever you need you will get. If you get cocky, arrogant or belligerent (just like a medical doctors office) you will be asked to leave.
How often will patient and caregiver speak to each other?as often as needed. phone is always on.
Will you get to visit the garden? How often will the caregiver update you? No one will be allowed in the garden. Too many risks. Will update as often as you want.
Is the garden secure? More than you could imagine.
Will plants designated for the patient be clearly identified? I am ignorant of a need to do so but if it is required then it will be done.
Is the caregiver aware of the confidentiality provisions of the law? Will the caregiver respect your confidentiality? More than you could imagine. our business is our business.
Will the caregiver be able to provide medicine to you while you are waiting for a harvest? At all times.
Do you have other expectations of caregivers beyond growing or acquiring medicine for you? I would not entertain any other expectations.
Termination of agreement: If someone needs to cancel, how much notice will be given? If I cancel, one harvest notice. If patient cancels.. 1 day is all thats needed. I have pruners and a fire pit.
Will the caregiver abide by the Rhode Island Medical Marijuana Act? To the letter.
Thought it would be fun
I have spoken to a few people that need caregivers because i want to help those that truly need it. Most of the people that I talked to acted like They were doing ME a favor. One actually wanted to charge me a monthly fee!!! Patient and caregiver relationship should be one of mutual respect. Most patients are frauds, they got a back spasm and asked for a license.. they got it because there needs to be way more patients available for these compassion centers to even work. Lord knows the mob wants them to work.
These compassion centers will be all about making money.. not helping people.. you all know it's true. Their product will suck and their prices will be way too high. I would love to help more people... unfortunately in the last 2 years I have not met a person that actually NEEDS it.
