The collective consciousness
I have had a pretty freaky experience once and I wasnâ??t stoned for quite some time so I could not really blame it on that. I wonder what you might think about this, or if you have had experiences that have made your awareness apparently expand well beyond yourself.
Mine was pretty interesting, happened in broad daylight when crossing the street as I stepped on a manhole cover. Was much more than just a feeling, I had images what appeared to be geometric shapes, math, numbers and what at the time seemed to be the ability to answer any question I may have. I was laughing to myself that we are such simple creatures to not have been able to see the answers to these simple questions like space and time travel, etc. Then as I thought I was in the middle of the street and a dangerous place I should continue on the other curb. As fast as it came it left and I realized it happened in mid step. Seems as if I was hit by a smart bean and someone took it off me taking away the knowledge I tapped into. I turned and hoped on the manhole cover again to no avail.
I have found that others had various types of experiences that seemed to expand their consciousness in very interesting ways, even connecting them with others.
Could this have been what the oracles or very especially renowned monks tap into, that I ran into by accident, or just a brain fart? Anyway I am interested in your thoughts on the collective consciousness and or experiences you might have had stoned or otherwise that expanded you beyond your own body.motoman Reviewed by motoman on . Fascinating YES, I would have to even lean towards those ideas- but NOT within the study of psychology (more metaphysics, or possibly para-psychology).Don\'t mess with Texas.

Here is what i found. Carl Jung a psychologist believed in a collective unconscious. Believed that it is innate and that we inherit if from our parents who inherited from their parents and son on.
there are 4 types of collective unconsious or inherited predispostions to behave in particular ways
1. Persona- mask you don't show real self to outside world you put on a certain mask to hide true identitiy
2. Shawdow- Ways to behave we inherit from non humans its our dark side tendency to be aggressive or violent
3. Anima- All men have a feminine mind inherited from moms and grandmothers hidden in the collective unconscious
4. Animus- women have a masculine side or the male conponent of female personality
Maybe this explains nothing but interesting nevertheless
