You can't even say x number of cigarettes 'equals' one joint. What are you basing it upon? Tar content?
Tar doesn't mean a damn thing in terms of lung damage, smoking 'light' or low-tar cigarettes is not any better for your lungs. Cig filters do not stop the radiation.

600 times more nicotine in mj than tobacco....but nicotine can only be studied as a gas, so it's really hard to tell...that number could have come from a thousand different places...and i could be a different number, and it varies on who grows it and how it's grown and all that....I really didn't know all that about the polonium though....that's really news to me....if anything makes you wanna fucking quit smoking, that does...thanks guys, that's my learn for the day...

I believe it is the tar content thats used when they say this "x" times worse for you than cigarettes. I read recently though that this is based on the amount of tar found in the large fan leaves not in the actual buds that we all love to smoke.
The tar levels in the bud are meant to be only one third of that found in tobacco I think but whether I could find the link again is another question.

the tobacco companies have proved a million times over that they will never clear their name...they've ruined natural pleasures for everyone...that's why I hope they never get marijuana in their hands in a legal form...they'll find a way to make it kill you or make you more addicted to it....i had to write a long-term research on tobacco companies and their bullshit...you really get disgusted after so much reading about them....

Overall i would say tobbaco but in the longrun weed is still pretty harmfull - but worth it

It doesn't seem possible to me that cannabis contains any nicotine let alone 600 times more nicotine than tobacco.

Here is my reasoning, lets say the average cigarette contains 1mg of nicotine (some brands have more, some less) if marijuana did in fact have 600 times that amount it would mean the equivalent weighing joint would contain 600mg of nicotine. This is 10 times the human lethal dose. (60mg)

you know, i don't really remember where that came from, but i just remember hearing it over and over, it could have been some stupid "drugs are bad mmkay" propaganda for all i know...i've smoked way too much pot since then...but right, it doesn't make much sense when you think about it...

Yeah, this whole nicotine in marijuana thing is really sketchy, I don't believe it at all. You don't get the same feeling from smoking cigs and joint at all, and like Null said, just do the math, it doesn't make any sense.
