    Do I need CalMag+?

    Hello again -

Likely a silly question, but after reading the posts re: calmag +, RO water vs. tap and rain... I need to ask.

The area I live in has just finished some major work on it's water lines and now my tap water comes out at approx. 80ppm. I have little or no access to other types of water so I'm stuck with this. (I can filter it, but that seems worse - and drops the ppm down below 50)

The question is... as I have no idea what the composition of minerals IN the water is... should I be using CalMag +?

Since all I've read presumes a 'standard' ppm of around 200, I'll guess the answer is yes.. but would like some confirmation.

    thanks much,

Iā??m in the same situation as you areā?¦.I get a water report, but it doesnā??t specify calcium. My ppm is around 100 out of the tap. So I had the same concern.

We had a contributor on this site named Weedhound, she posted this:

Interestingly.....according to my hydro man.....its VERY hard to OD on CalMag. If your leaves are going all dark and curly that just plain sounds like overnute to me. I sat down the other day and had a fair discussion on the use of CalMag with my hydro guy.....i'll be using it MORE these days instead of less. Just a thought I'm tossing in.....

On that note I do use a small amount of CalMag+ as insurance.

I hope that this has been some help,
    HMR

I use tap water...90ppm...I always add calmag...because without it...the girls will wilt and have issues. At least that's how things are where I live.
