Are there any home remedies i can use to keep the bugs away ? these guys are really doing a number on me this year. im broke. just got layed off and dont know what to do. moneys tight right now.

I got this off here and worked great. Over night even. Cant say enough about it.

1 quart water
4 cloves fresh garlic
2 tablespoons tobasco sause
and I added 1 thai hot pepper just for kicks

blend in a blender till all liquidfied, put in sprayer and spray plants at night top and bottom of leaves and dirt. Awsome stuff and free

Put steel wool around the stems to keep snail off and clear all under brush and weeds away from your plants. This will help a lot and when it rains, hit the ferts good to get your plant up and healthy and then the bugs will leave them alone. This worked for me and giving the nitrogen helps to get them up and healthy.

Sooo going to try this remedy... haven't found any other ones in this forum

get about 8 or 10 jabanero peppers ( must be jabanero's) and chop them fine. place in a pan with about a quart of water and heat ( NOT BOIL) for about a half hour. chop up a few cloves of garlic and add to the mix. let it cool and strain into a jar. You can mix this into a gal of water to spray onto your plants. It'll burn the h*ll out of the little critters and keep them at bay. I do this about once every three weeks.Caution: wear a bandana or mask when spraying as it is a hot mix and will burn your eyes and skin. won't hurt the plants at all.And can be used any time.
