    Does Space End?

    Hi Richieguy,

I remember that from the book too, it sounds like a pretty good description of our mental limits.

How about answering a question with another question?

    Does space end?

I don't know, does it begin?

It began when God was smoking some really strong bud and started thinking, "wouldnt it be funny to create a universe with units called atoms, that will eventually bring about life and then humans? And the humans will think that they are smoking some really good shit but little do they know the kind of shit I'm on? Hah Hah Hah" So he coughed up a loogie and it became the universe.

4252 Yeah it was a GREAT book. Short too. And that's exactly the kind of shit I'm saying. Speaking of which, for all you that think there is an end, where IS the beginning. Kind of arrogant of mankind to think that they know such a vast amount about the universe when we haven't even put a foot on the closest planet to us.
\'I smoke two joints in the mornin
I smoke two joints at night
I smoke two joints in the afternoon
and it makes me feel alright

I smoke two joints in time of peace
and two in time of war
I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints
and then I smoke two more.\'

Space will extend as far as you travel. The reason being there is no void space, so its really a misleading term. All space is filled with matter or energy of some sort.

But to your question, you could travel as far as you want, and space will keep on extending with you if you are the furtherst away from the center point.

You guys got it all wrong.

Remember, we have only 5 senses with which we are able to experience 'life' as we know it.

Take sound for example....the human ear can hear only a very small spectrum of sound frequencies. A dog for example can hear sound frequencies we never hear.

Take sight for example....an elephant will see the world 500X more blurry and slow than an eagle. Again, the human eye can see only a small spectrum of lights. However, if we use tools, like, Xrays, we can then 'see' a new dimension.

The point being, we are able to experience all that is with only 5 senses, and, those same 5 senses are very limited in their scope and capabilities. Oh so very limited.

If you really want to know whats 'going on out there', don't look to the stars...

You need to look for the 6th sense. And its all around you.

    Happy soul searching....

Yes! You are CORRECTSIR! [/Ed McMahon]

ending to space... not like there's a wall there
My brain is not capable of comprehending the infinite nature of space, so I don't know. But what if there WAS a wall? Would there be only ONE side of it (the side we "run into" at the bounds of the universe), or does a wall necessarily have to have TWO sides? If space ends at our side of the wall, what do you call the other side of the wall...? lol)

Hardon- are you sure you didn't...

nm, lol. Maybe the thread starter asked the wrong question!

Sense young dealing with infinity and its ramifications has been a headache. I agree with the limits for the human mind, we are linier time creatures and the universe is not, science I believe knows that certain things can be in two places at one time, this equals time travel and therefore not linier. This supports dimensions in the universe seem pretty probable to me, also related to perception, parallel dimensions is another thing, a guy in another universe just like me but comprised of a whole different set of decisions.

I think life is cheep and abundant in the universe, water is everywhere and so is light and elements. On the humans going into space the last 100 tears, science already knows the modern human brain has existed for at least 250 thousand years, if we know it only took us 10 thousand years to go from stone age to space that means we have probably done this at least 25 times sense then, with the church trying to stop us as much as possible.

Hmm, I had never thought of it like that before. I have always considered life to be VALUABLE and PRECIOUS, instead of CHEAP and ABUNDANT

But yeah, that'd be crazy, man.
