The producers are making good money. Nonprofit just means a production company can't have any profit left at the end of the fiscal year. To get around this, they pay themselves big fat salaries.

I think the state encourages keeping prices at street level. No matter how you slice it, 400 an O is way overpriced. But I think the state is scared to let the producers sell cheaper. Think if med people could get O's for 200. Many an unscrupulous persons would be temped to make a profit. It's great for the producers, but bad for folks like us who really need it.
