My experience with dispensaries is, they want a current valid California i.d. I've watched them turn people away in your situation.
It's messed up.

When you frist go to a dispensary they ask for you REC and a valid CA ID because that all you will need to return to the same dispensary is a CA ID. Are you moving here.:stoned:

cant say for myself being a ca native and all, but i do have alot of transplant friends from out of state that have no problem obtaining a referral or medicine at shops. NM licenses NY licenses all sorts, you should be good, but if one shop says no, theres plenty more around the block

Two words: Venice Beach. Just take a walk, open your eyes...and your wallet. It doesnt matter where you are from...as long as you have a c-note in your pocket for your medical evaluation. There are 'kush doctor' clinics literally begging people to come in and get evaluated. You will get your certificate (not the official state issued CARD) which will get you into the dispensary. Its a dream come true for any 'sick' American. :hippy: Enjoy your medicine...its killer! :stoned:

I know that the clinic I work at, San Diego 420 Evaluations, will turn you away if your DL or ID is not California state issued. Even if its from California, but expired, we have to turn you away. Its only appx. 20-30 dollars for an ID or DL replacement or first time issue, so you may as well spend the day at the DMV getting one. Im just speaking from my own personal experience, but most dispensaries ive been to wont accept an out of state ID or DL, and expired ones are just as bad.
Everyone has different experiences, though. Good luck!
