The more O2 in the water the happier the plants will be
No worries, I need to learn as I move along. After a couple of days of flowering I realized I had not changed my bulbs to my HPS. I think I am finally on the right track. Thanks for all the help

    1st ebb/flow grow

My update is I am 1 1/2 week into flower, things are getting thick and heat is up a bit this week to 85 degrees or so during day time.

Trying to get my 1 runt plant (last pic) to get going with UFO light on it but I think I just have a runt. Overall pretty happy with the ebb/flow system I bought.

    1st ebb/flow grow

Just changed out rez and put in 35 gallons, girls are drinking a lot so I just added more water this round to last for the week. I know one thing my back yard plants have never look so good. I guess one of the benefits from changing the rez once a week

    Enough bubbles/O2 for 35 gallons?

Doesnt look bad from here. I run 2 6" airstones atm but after this run I am going to switch to 2 12" stones. I run 40 gals in flower.

Thanks man, just trying to keep a time line from begging to end to show others what I did right or wrong since me being a new guy to hydro. I will post some new pics later. If you keep reading you will learn a lot from guys on this forum, good luck with your grow. RO water = "reverse osmosis" water, much cleaner than tap water. RO water is the way to go for hydro.

RO water would no doubt be a good thing to have but as long as PPM out of tap isn't out of site and people can actually drink it without growing extra body parts then tap should do you fine. In my opinion anything under 200ppm is usable. Mine runs around 120/130 and I raise it to 200 with calmag before adding anything else. As long as I can do what I have been doing with tap I'll stay with it, to me RO seems to be a pain and takes to long but if my water was up around 600 I would no doubt be singing a different tune :wtf:

Not a lot to report other than little heat wave in my area, grow tent temp is higher than normal. Temp inside the tent has been 85 to 87 range for last few days. Lots of fans blowing lots of hot air around. I have been using the frozen plastic liter bottles to try and keep res water cool enough, so far so good. Change two of them out in AM and PM every day. Water staying under 75 degrees.

Plants are pretty thick and have stop turning them, just do not want to break any branches. The sativa/indica (OG Kush) are taking over space for my sativa (Super Lemon Haze). Next time I will not mix plants up like this.

I have couple of plants in "soil" and both plants have this issue. What do you think is causing this?

I am using RO water, cal mag and all the botanicare mixes. I am following amounts on label to mix in so just a little strange on what is up with these spots on leaves. Plants are 5 weeks into flowering.
