so yeah it will be a very long time for me to be able to be a mmj patient here in cali,i cant get an id card because i have no proof of being a resident,since i moved down here with my gf for her job and everything is in her name,the only thing i get here is my motorcycle bill wich also has her name on it,cant find a job so that makes it even worse...this really blows a big one.why does california have to have so many dam rules/laws.been here for a month now and my knee is hurtin like a sob and tried takin some advill but i puke it up before i swallow the dam pill,wtf just really pissed right now

Go to DMV and get a ID card. You'll need to have her put you on some bill or open a checking account.

yeah my motorcycle bill comes here has mine and her name on it plus our current adress.so hopefully this works, im calling dmv tomorrow to figure sht out.im just very very frustrated have had my meds in almost 2 months now and im cranky grr. i set an appointment at the dmv but its for end of august,so ima try and just go to a dmv one mourning and see if i get seen or not,end of august is a while away

Bring your old license, that bill that proves where you live, and the 2nd ID of the BC and you're golden. Next stop is the local Medicann and $65 later you are good to go.
I would suggest getting the CA state card as that can't be refused as proof of medical need by law enforcement. It cost me $125 but the peace of mind it gives me is priceless.
The ASA website has info for various counties in CA so check it out.
Take a ride to an out-of-the way rural DMV office and hang out, it can't take longer than 2 hours.

you have no idea how easy it is to switch a utility bill to another name, you can do it online, stop bitching and take some initiative

oh and fuck advil, buy aleve, Ive grown a tolerance to otc painkillers bc of break in my arm when i was younger and sciatica but aleve used when you need it works wonders

Don't wait until August! Do you have any friends in the area that can go with you there? You need someone to go with you, because the dmv in Callifornia are horrible if you aren't familiar with their lazy ass tactics.

If you are 18 or older, register to vote. Over here if you are registered to vote, that sets up residency. It is a legal declaration of where you live.
I don't know CA residency requirements but I would check it out.
