is this a good hydro system?
Do more homework for starters.
The system you pointed out is called a deep water culture system. You can make something just a simple for a lot less money. I'm not sure why they are charging nearly 200 bucks for something you can do with a 20 dollar tote and purpose built netpots.
The only limitation when it comes to DWC systems whether this one or one you build is that the temperature of the water needs to be in the mid 70's and no higher. The second the temperature reaches 80 you begin to grow algae instead. Other forms of hydro will tolerate higher temperatures say in the mid 80's such as ebb and flow types.
