Super-boost for plants: Grows 2-3 times faster, healthier & more potent.
1. Create organic bio-degradable compost & fertilizer from it.
Take all food leftovers and put in a separate trash-bin. When full empty it into a pre-digged large hole in your backyard/garden or compost bin. After a month or 3, depending on temperatures, humidity, organic material used etc, it should look more or less like soil in the compost hole / bin. Of course if you keep adding material, the soil will be at the older level meaning the bottom of the hole / bin. It is best to have several holes / bins and fill one up one by one and let them do their work. Add a large amount of earthworms to speed up process - they are easily found in your gardens soil just dig a bit.
Once you got the compost-soil, fill a large sock with a good amount of it, tie it up and put it in a bucket of water - pull it up and down some just as you would with a tea bag. Then let it sit there for a day. The next day the water should be very dark brown colored. Fill this natural homemade organic fertilizer into appropriate bottles / cans / containers of your choice. Store in a dark and cold place.
Feed plants with a 50-50 mix of this nutrional fertilizer every 2nd or 3rd watering.
2. Heat water, add a couple spoons of molasses per bottle you intend to fill, and add urine to 1/5th part of the bottles volume. This will provide more easy access for microbes that are beneficial for the plants, in addition to nitrogene which the plants also love. If you have a plant that looks a bit "down" with yellowing leaves etc, try give him alittle of this mix and see the results of recovering after a couple days. Feed this to plants about every 4th to 5th watering.
3. Create extra carbondioxide (CO2) for your plants. This alone can boost the growth and make them twice as fast growing.
Simply take several bottles, or larger container of your choice, and add 1 cup sugar to every 2 liters warm water along with 1 spoon yeast. I personally recommand adding some cut up / blended fruits as well such as apples, grapes, oranges, as this procedure will produce alcohol and with fruits in you will get some wine as an additional bonus.
Once ingredients are mixed (remember using warm water) in your bottle / container of choice, put a lid on tightly and pin a small hole in the lid. The hole will release the CO2 gasses and is a MUST even if you just want to make wine and not use the gasses for the plants, as without the hole the bottle WILL explode and you will have a mess. The hole should be about needle sized, so using a needle to pin a hole is fine.
Now place these bottles or containers with the lids with their holes around your plants. A suggestion is to connect a hose to the top lid and leading the hose into the plant area so you can have larger containers & bottles in a different nearby location.
This will ferment and create CO2 for 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks max you should take the contents of the bottles and change and do the same procedure to create more CO2. If you want to save the alcohol / wine you make by this carefully siphon out the liquid leaving a small part with the yeast solids and fruit parts at bottom. You may need to filter it first to discard fruit solids, and then let it sit for a while to make the yeast solids sink back to the bottom before siphoning off.
If you want good instructions on making wine or other alcohol simply google "brewing wine" , "brewing beer", "brewing alcohol" etc and you can use any recipe you find just make sure to lead the releasing gas to your plants.
These bottles or containers should be shaken once or twice a day - remember holding a finger on the hole in the lid when doing this or it will get splashy.
The bottles or containers should NOT be filled completely, leave about 1/5th space empty as it will foam and bubble during fermentation and you dont want that spilling out.
- Conclusion:
Either one of these 3 steps alone will greatly enhance your plants and make them healthier and grow better. Combining all 3 are excellent and will speed up growing with up to 3 times faster , maybe even more, and the plants will be much stronger, healthier, producing better yields and more potent buds.
As a sidenote, the crap from earthworms contains excellent nutrition and natural growth hormones which are excellent for plants, so try get a large bunch of them into step 1 to further increase the quality of the compost-fertilizer.
Good luck to anyone dreaming about this.mahavatar Reviewed by mahavatar on . Super-boost for plants: Grows 2-3 times faster, healthier & more potent. 1. Super-boost for plants: Grows 2-3 times faster, healthier & more potent.
Example pics. 24 hours between photos.
Photo 1 : June 28 - Notice the bigger plant.
Photo 2: June 29 - Notice the bigger plant, spread much more out of the container and also taller (unfortunately the photo do not show that since taken above). Also note plant in upper right, sticking out of container with leaves and compare to photo 3 which was taken the day before (June 28).
Photo 3: June 28 - Notice the plant is down within the container, as compared to photo 2 above which was taken 1 day later (June 29).
Photo 4: June 28. Notice plant not so dense, compare with photo 5 taken one day later (June 29).
Photo 5: June 29. Plant from photo 4 one day later, notice more bushy and dense.
Of course these photos do not serve as prime examples since only one day passed, but before using the above mentioned system to boost them they were many days without any noticeable change, in fact almost a week without much growth. Will post photos some days later to compare.

Some additional information:
Light used are simply two 65 w CFL's of 6500K (meaning they are vegging). Lights on 24/7 for constant chlorophyll production during vegging. Tinfoil is used as reflectors covering all parts of the insidie as well as top - dull side facing towards plants and brighter side away (avoids hotspots & plant burns - this CAN happen with CFL's too contrary to what many claims).
The plants are grown in a concealed location without any fans or ventilation, packed well into tinfoil and covered up.
Fan/Ventilation is not used simply due to the CFL not becoming too warm, and since using carbondioxide (CO2) production to increase growth ventilation and fans are unwanted as that will decrease the amount of CO2 by blowing it away and letting it out of the system. The heat within the "chamber" is approximately 25C I would estimate, though this has not been measured.
The plants have been modified with different techniques, some of them have been LST'ed (bent down with binders to make them grow horizontally so new colas/bud tops grows up as new plants from the main stem which is growing pushed down - excess leaves removed to expose the nodes for more light, making the plants more bushy and dense and not taking so much height)
Some have been supercropped (somewhat similar to LST, gently pinching with fingers and bending stems until inner part of stem is broken and it hangs down horizontally on its own - this serves a similar purpose to LST and also makes the plant rebuild the "breaking point" in a way that makes it actually transfer MORE nutritions and water to the point above it, meaning better buds, quicker growth etc).
Some have been topped - meaning that the main top has been cut off right where there are two leaves and nodes growing at each side of it. This will make these two new nodes grow into two new tops, so you will have a plant with two tops instead of one, producing more. If you are lucky the top you cut off may grow back so you get 3 tops - this usually happens when topped at very early stage (when it has about 2 levels of leaves). New tops growing can also be topped to get more tops. But dont overdo it.
Leaves are also being trimmed and cut off, to allow more light to important parts (nodes, new colas, bud points - the new tops). When doing this and cutting of a leaf near to the main stems growing point where it got a node (or a branch or new top's with leaves in similar way) this will help growth of new branches from those nodes, and if LST'ed or otherwise pushed down, supercropped etc, these branches will turn into new tops / colas producing more buds and more branches). Around 50% of leaves can safely be trimmed off to allow for more light to reach the good parts. You can also cut parts of the leaves instead of the whole leaves to let light pass to areas densely covered.
And finally, combination of all the above is applied to couple of the plants. When doing any of these methods, do one at a time and let the plant recover for a few days before doing more, and do not overdo things, let it grow for some time before topping more etc.
Attached a photos of the setup covered at mentioned packed in well with tinfoil. Hose shown leading CO2 gas to the plants produced from wine-brewing container also shown on photos. Inside shown with bottles producing more CO2.

Doesn't get much more ghetto than that, lol. Have you had success with this set-up before?
Looks like you're overwatering and likely some heat stress and lack of fresh air. Possible ph issues too.
Tiz a good idea to know what the dangers are, especially when it come to e-coli and salmonella poisoning from compost teas. (which most folks spray on their meds) Likely a bad idea to make yourself sick, or even kill yourself or others in an uninformed attempt to maximize your meds.
Necessary reading for those that wish to continue with the compost teas:

Good luck with it though...

One should NEVER spray anything except for water on the plants themselves, nutritions such as fertilizer should obviously be put directly into the soil carefully avoiding any "splashing" on any part of the plant. I do spray them with carbonated water (water with carbon dioxide - CO2), as this do help the plants absorb a bit more of the CO2 from that water. Doing so, use carbonated water with as little other minerals and other things as possible, specially sodium which often is quite high in some brands and will leave white crystals on the leaves when it dries).
Since this thread is in "advanced techniques" I somewhat expect people whom are here to be familiar with what you mention though, and if not at least they are now
I do not think there is any heat stress as only 2 x 65w CFL's are used. The temperature inside the "grow box" is pretty much perfect from my tests, and the lack of ventilation or fans is no problem but rather positive as mentioned.
There IS a slight overwatering, but that was done on purpose as I had to leave for some days and wanted to make sure they had enough and it is not a problem unless majorly overwatering or constantly doing so.
Will post some new photos later on today, which show the difference in growth between 3 days (from June 30th to July 3rd).

New updates.
Photos taken 72 hours (3 days) later this time. Showing "before" and "after" for easy comparison as usual. Also, this time a handful of leaves where cut off after last posted photos, so the plants in NEW photos dated July 3rd have been trimmed - the purpose of that was to let light reach desirable areas to form new tops / colas and branches. Also note containers have been rotated to get light reach other areas as well.
Photo 1: June 30th - Notice plant in lower left yellow container
Photo 2: July 3rd - Same plant as photo 1, three days after. Pretty easy to see the difference in growth, and you also notice the plant in the yellow container above it gotten bigger.
Photo 3: June 30th - As it was.
Photo 4: July 3rd - Same plant as photo 3, three days after. Again easy to see how it has grown and spread.
Photo 5: June 30th - Notice the large fan-leaf on left. This was cut off. Also notice small leaf-growth in middle at top.
Photo 6: July 3rd - Same plant as photo 5, notice more growth out of box, taller, and the small middle leaves having become really large growing well out of the box as well. The three big leaves seen here are two of the small ones seen 3 days earlier on photo 5 along with one of the big leaves which was not cut off on the 30th.
Photo 7: June 30th. The two small plants.
Photo 8: July 3. The same two small plants three days later, starting to grow out of box edges and healthier looking.
Remember a handful of leaves from the plants were cut off before taking these July 3rd photos, so in actuality they were even bigger than what these photos represent but excess leaves are constantly removed.
