HELP!!! Nutrient Lock Out?
Hi. This is my first grow, and I think my girls are very sick! My set up includes a 600w HPS bulb with daystar reflector. I am growing in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, using tap water which I let sit overnight before using. I switched my lights to 12-12 on May 15th, so I am 6 weeks into flowering. My ph is stable at 6.8. I had purchased Humboldt Nutrients Bloom, and had been adding 3ml/L of water. Now I am having a severe problem with leaves yellowing and dying. I am watering once every three days, or when moisture meter says soil is dry. At this point, I have only watered with nutes three times. I think I may have burned them with the chem nutes. I am now going to use Age Old Liquid Kelp, and Age Old Bloom. N-P-K 5-10-5. A buddy told me I have a mg def, but from reading, I think it may be a N def. The old Humboldt Nutrients Bloom is 0-6-5, so the fact that they havent received N from this is why I think that is my problem. Is there any saving these girls? Buds look good on half, but the tall, lanky Durban Poisons are really hurting. almost all the leaves have yellowed. Do I need to flush comepletely BEFORE starting with the age old nutes? I was told to use a tsp/gallon with bloom, and the same with liquid kelp. I am not too far from bringing them down, and I dont want to kill them before that. I will also include pics. Thanks in advance for help.

HELP!!! Nutrient Lock Out?
If you are at 6 weeks there shouldn't be too much feeding left to do. It's a normal part of the life cycle for the larger fans to yellow and die off in late flower. If I were you, I would probably just feed pH'd water from here on out so as to not compound any problems you may already have. Also, you don't want to pound nutrients and make a flush before harvest impossible. Take em another couple weeks if you can, on water, and give em the chop.
Have you looked at your trichromes under a scope yet? That'll tell you how close you are to harvest.
Have you done any transplanting in these plants lives?
How long have they looked the way they do? When did the leaves begin to die off?
Are there one or 2 strains growing?
Just some questions to help out with the analysis.

My friend I got these from usually lets them go 8 weeks. The Durbans just look so tall and pathetic, while the other seems fairly healthy. You recommend using just water at this point? Do I run the same risk of nute burn with organic nutes if I were to use them for the last 4 weeks? thanks

HELP!!! Nutrient Lock Out?
I typically don't feed for the last couple of weeks, but that's only how I do things. If you are going to let the DP go 10 weeks, by all means, feed away, just be sure to cut it out before you harvest.
Odds are the other strain that's a Haze cross could possibly go 10 weeks too. Usually sativa dom crosses will be a little longer on the flowering side.
I don't think you run too much risk of nute burn from the organics, just make sure whatever you use is in fact organic. I know kelp is a good fertilizer, I use MaxiCrop in the beginning of veg. I don't know anything about Age Old Bloom though, I'll have to do some looking.
How do you know your pH is stable at 6.8? If there is some kind of pH lockout going on, no amount of nutrients will help you. It'll be akin to dumping them down the drain. I'll find the thread on here that deals with lockouts and post it so you can check it out in the meantime.

HELP!!! Nutrient Lock Out?
That is just the soil ph. I use a ph pen with moisture sensor. I have not tested runoff ph, I guess that is my next course of action. I am just wondering why they are yellowing, and what is causing my brown, curled leaves so that I can make sure it doesnt happen next time around.
