My plants got an extra 12 hours of darkness, will they recover?
Darkness is entirely fine for plants. They just think it's a cloudy day or something obscured their view of the sun. Now if you had 12 extra hours of light when the plant was thinking it was night time, hard for the plant to explain that in its natural environment.
No harm done, just put them back on their regular schedule and treat this one as a cloudy day.
