Stopped by the Dollar Store this afternoon and picked up a bottle of boric acid. The store didn't have powdered sugar, and i didn't want to go to another store, so i substituted a package of sugar cookie mix... it's almost pure sugar, anyway, and right after sugar on the ingredients list is high fructose corn. Back at home, mixed up a bit of the ant medicine and took it out back. 'Planted' three doses, and waited around long enough to see that the pesky little buggars are indeed carrying the treasure home. I took the camera out with me, too, to get a look at how the plants were responding to being tied down. They are more horizontal than vertical at the moment, at least Oprah and Sophia are. I got a pic of each of them, and one of Angelina, who still has not been tied down yet. Then the batteries in the camera died. I had fooled around taking a few pics of the corn and sunflower, and battery died before I finished. So you'll see Dolly again next time! Here's today's pics...
