granny grows legal!
You all are the ones who gave me the idea to take pictures of my grow, so it only seems right for me to share them. I hope you will come along with me as I track their progress. I am SO STOKED to be growing legally!!! Especially after the last time I grew the good herb: in October of 1998, I was charged with a fourth degree felony for having a bush in my garden. Now, with a very minimum of planning, I find myself with a card IDing me as a mmj patient, and a permit to grow.
I've been slow getting this grow log started since every time I come to the site, there's so much reading to do... So now I'm starting out with month old pictures, but will catch up quick.
I only had two seeds to start with, but they were from some reeeeeaally good bud. They went into the dirt as soon as I got my permit. It was toward the end of April; let's say it was 4/20. About 4 weeks later, I planted another seed. I was undecided for a while whether to grow in pots or in the ground, so the first two plants went into large pots as soon as they germinated. Here are the three of them on May 28th. Giving them names seems like fun, so I've done that, too. Please don't bash me for my choices!!! LOL
First comes Oprah, second is Sophia, and tagging along third is Angelina.deserthealer Reviewed by deserthealer on . granny grows legal! As you probably noticed on the earlier pics, I pinched my plants when they were very small. Maybe one of you will explain for me what the difference is between topping and a fim? idk which it is that you call what I do. I just think that I get more smoke this way. One weeks growth:
Oprah, one view, and Sophia, two views, pics taken June 3.peace :hippy:

One week later... seems like all is well, so far. These pics taken June 10. Keep in mind that Oprah and Sophia are in pots about 5 times larger than Angelina. Two pics of O first
Now Sophia - you may notice the "foreign intruder"... I think that must be butternut squash that was introduced into the pot when I added some home grown "worm poop". I will deal with the invader later. I also wonder if the worm poo is what caused the burn on S's fan leaves. Not a pretty sight, but I'm not too worried about it in the long run.
Last but not least is another pic of Angelina. She is in recovery now from having her little snip procedure. She looks happy to me!peace :hippy:

The transplant from pots to ground was harder on the bigger plants. I think there were two reasons for this. First of all, my son had to dig the holes to set the plants into. Because they had been in such large pots, the holes they went into went deeper than the good topsoil in the garden. Also, we sorta crowded them into their places more than we should have. So: their roots are now in contact with soil that isn't as good as what they were used to. And: we f%^ked with them a bit, getting them into their places. Angelina, on the other hand, fit nicely in the good topsoil, and didn't have to suck it in to get into her jeans. There's a newcomer now, too! A friend gave me a clone. She had been growing under lights, but after only a couple days conditioning, she went into the garden and was christened Dolly. Here are pics taken June 21.

Last time I grew cannabis, I created a monster by accident by tying down the branches to keep a low profile. Now that I know how that stimulates growth of the plant, I plan to continue a similar practice. I read in someone else's log on this board that they bypassed the string, etc, and just went with "bending" the plant. What the hay, I'll give it a try. Here are the pictures that I took yesterday of the four girls, lined up in the usual order: Oprah, Sophia, Angelina, and Dolly. Then you get one 'overview' of the garden.

i was mainly talking about just right around the plants so that the weeds around her plants dont use half the nutes in the soil plus if she is legal no need to be on a low profile unless ya have to worry about thieves
