Tincture?
Hey guys, I want to make a tincture, and have read many recipes, but I dont have a kitchen to use a hot method.
I dont want to waste my goodies if I mess up, so i want to try a small batch first.
I have a 1.6 g nug left from last night, if I grind that up and pour enough white rum (40%) to cover the herb, keep in a jar for a few weeks, will that be good enough?
if so, what should the dose be?biggj69 Reviewed by biggj69 on . Tincture? Hey guys, I want to make a tincture, and have read many recipes, but I dont have a kitchen to use a hot method. Tincture?
It will work, but consider:
Dry out the weed as much as possible, don't know if this is real science or voodoo but it seems to make a difference for me and a lot of other people. Grind up the weed, fold it up in a piece of paper, then put it in an Altoids tin in the sun on a hot afternoon. Preferably on a brick or cement surface. Solar drying.
With the weaker alcohol I would try to leave it soaking in about an ounce of alcohol for at least a month, longer if you can stand the temptation. Might be overkill but that would be better than underkill and poor results.
Try a teaspoon on an empty stomach. Wait 1 hour and start smoking, enjoy.

That sounds likaa pretty small amount. But it takes weeks to months to make good tincture. You should use grain alcohol. Get the 190 proof Ever Clear or Clear Spring if it is available in your area. I add the weed then shake it and leave it for a couple of months. Then strain the alcohol from the weed add some new weed and leave that for a couple of more months then strain and use that.
Just a drop under the tounge will get you high in a couple of minutes. I usually mix it with a drink.

strain the herbs out of the alcohol and pour into a clean, sterile jar. Cover with a tight fighting lid and label. Keep in a cool, dry place. Dosage is one teaspoon, four times a day for most ailments. If you don't wish to ingest the alcohol then stir the tincture into a cup of boiling water. This allows the alcohol to evaporate very quickly. Drink the mixture when it cools slightly.

Here are a few more details. In addition to storing in a cool place it should be dark as well. The tincture we make just takes one millileter under the tounge. The longer you keep it under your tounge the faster it works. It leaves your tounge a little numb.

Tincture?
My friend is on about his fourth generation of tincture. He keeps getting better and better. He is selling kits with a small brown bottle and a dropper. You just need 1 or 2 ml and are instantly high. He is convinced that the longer time helps. He also strains the alcohol and adds new buds and does the aging process again. If anybody has had bad results trying tincture I can assure you that this method works.
If there was ever an instant way to get high on pot this is it.
