Obama cites 'obsession' on Afghanistan timeline - Yahoo! News
Islandboy seems to think or wants to paint me as I am some kind of diehard Obama supporter. I am not. Dogma is for idiots. I voted for him and will do so again if the choices resemble the last round. But I am not at all impressed with the product. He has not lived up to expectations in terms of promises made across a range of topics. He renewed the Patriot act virtually unchanged despite speaking out against it during the campaign, he promised to repeal DADT which he hasn't done, he promised to close gitmo in a year which he didn't do, and the list goes on.

Concerning the Afghanistan time line, that does not bother me as much. First of all they were careful to leave wiggle room. Anyone who was listening knew at the time that the phrase, "subject to review" is a get-me-out-of-jail-free card. Further, this has to do with military strategy (politics too, obviously) so if the military needs more time then it is up to Obama to hear out the generals. And if you want to talk about time lines, he is on schedule in Iraq for which he deserves credit.

Islandboy, you don't know me so if you are going to characterize my position on anything please have the courage to back up your claims with some kind of evidence. Of course you won't because you can't.
