Closing Gitmo Fades as Priority
It's all a shell game anyway. Bagram is worse.
The thing that gets me are people who, when it suits our perceived needs, see no problem with semi-legal prisons, detention without trial, secret testimony, "moderate physical pressure" (actually that's an Israeli euphemism for torture but we've expropriated it as though it were just a few dunums of land...). We are taking on the trappings of so many of the regimes we detest. People would do well to watch fewer hours of 24 and instead study history.bigsby Reviewed by bigsby on .
