ok but say i want to veg for like 6 months(not planning on it just curious lol) is there a point where the plant just says fuck it and decides to start flowering on its own? Im going to be growing indoors and have sufficient room if the plant gets pretty tall.

    quick question

    Hi Gravila

You could keep it in veg indefinitely - that is how mother plants are kept. Depending on how much light you have though - using an 1K HPS for 6 months of veg would give you a monster! Let them veg as long as you want, just make sure you have room for them once they go to flower. Some strains double / triple in height - I doubled my veg time this grow, and topped / FIMd them twice to make them bushy. Luckily this strain (purp kush)will withstand lots of pruning...

    quick question

yea, if you let them get too big, the light won't penetrate the plant, so you'll have nice (and very tall) tops and a bunch of underdeveloped grade B/C stuff from mid-plant down, so it's a waste to go too big.

You need to hang your lights vertically if you let them get this big. Then you will have plenty of penetration top to bottom.

    quick question

thanks for the insight guys:thumbsup: i was planning on using a 600w hps for flowering and not too sure yet for veg... most of the equipment im using was left behind from the people who lived here before. and just a few minutes ago i found a 2nd 600w cool tube laying around lucky me. on top of the first one plus a carbon scrubber and 4 6" inline fans. i feel like its a sign from god saying hurry up and grow that shit!!!

ya i figured that. i just need to finish my set up plan. still in the planning stages. im working on gettin the room set up. main focus isnt really plant size but getting the room as light/air efficient as possible. ill probably wait till i get a few grows under my belt before i try growing any monsters:thumbsup:
