yea... it definitely would help to now the cannabinoid profile. I think a common misconception is that THC % and potency go hand in hand. All it tells you is that BY WEIGHT 20% of ALL cannibinoids found were THC. That is a ratio but it DOES NOT tell you how much THC is there. A strain like white widow has a low THC % but is smothered in trichomes so it's actually a potent strain. A strain could be 20% THC but have very few trichomes per gram of bud and another strain could be 10% THC and loaded with trichomes. THC/CBD % can let you know the quality of the high and the medicine you're getting because low THC/high CBD for example lets you know it may be good for pain.. but it by no means tells you "how much" THC is actually there
