advice please (includes a female question)

I should really move to a medical state, since I have several pre-approved conditions and could be smoking prescription green... but alas, here I am!

Female, 35 year old, 5'10" tall and weigh 220lbs. I've been vegetarian for 17 years, and eat very healthy (few processed foods).

I used to be very active, but had major surgery two months ago. Since then, I've gotten really out of shape and have been smoking 1-2 grams per day, every day. Prior to the surgery I was clean for about 3 months, but have pretty much been smoking non-stop since I was 19.

I have a letter for the percocet and vicodin I was prescribed after surgery, but obviously my concerns are for the green sticky.

I waked and baked this morning, then got a job offer a few hours ago. I raced out and got a Detoxify XXtra Clean 20oz and will be testing at home the day before, and morning of, the urine test. I need to call and schedule it, but the job wants me to start asap. I'm thinking Thur/Friday for the test, which will be about one week without THC.

In the meantime, I will be drinking oolong, chai and detox tea daily, as well as taking creatine monohydrate 700mg 3-4 times per day. I average a gallon of water per day this time of year.

I've read that exercise must be avoided prior to the test. What are others' experiences with this? I just got clearance from my doctor to start exercising again. Over the past month, I've been hiking 2-3 times a week for 30-60mins at a time. Should I increase this over the weekend, then stop all activity Tues/Wednesday?

What about coffee / caffeine? When I drink coffee, it makes my urine very yellow, smelly and nasty. However, I've read that coffee stimulates the production of bile, and can assist in THC metabolism. Should I drink coffee everyday, then not drink it on test day? I'm an occassional coffee drinker (1-2x/week).

Lastly, I'll be getting my period next week, and read on wikipedia that THC metabolites can stay in heaver users' blood for 2 weeks. I'm afraid of contaminating my urine with blood. Should this be an issue?

All advice is most appreciated, I NEED this job!

Niacin can be used to help speed up the detox. Here is a link with more information regarding Niacin.

    Hope this helps.

The role of niacin in detoxification

Niacin does nothing to help pass a U/A. That healingdaily link is just another perpetuation of the niacin myth. Nowhere in that article makes any specific references to THC. And if you notice in that link, theres references to L Ron Hubbard, the father of the Scientology movement. Hubbard was a crackpot who had absolutely no medical or biological training whatsoever, charges $20,000 to join his sect, advocates total silence during childbirth, and claims (along with his chief minions Tom Cruise and Brooke Sheilds) that niacin can cure anything from post-partum depression to toxic shock syndrome. He also claims that frequent pats to the forehead can rid ones mind of "demons" . Therefore, anything coming from Hubbard and his minionic believers should be taken with a box of salt.

Instead of placing any merit on regurgitated info stated by such absurd nutzos from the Scientology movement, further your research on how the human body processes THC.

Youd discover that THC is not toxic (therefore its incorrect to label THC a "toxin") and the rate limiting step of elimination is not the size of your blood vessels or whether or not they are dialated or constricted. The rate limiting step is the GFR (glomerular filtration rate) of the kidneys. GFR is the measurement of how much blood is filtered by the kidneys in one minute. A person's GFR remains relatively constant through a process called autoregulation, by which reflex changes in vascular tone inside the kidney help keep GFR constant despite daily fluctuations in blood pressure or cardiac output, such as with exercise.

Drinking water is only helpful on the day of the U/A. Drinking a bunch of water days before the U/A is of no help. It may cause frequent urination, but it has no effect on GFR.

All "detox" products are a total scam to seperate the credulous from their cash. You can spend upwards to $200 on a magic elixir, and accomplish nothing different that whats accomplished using just water and vitamin B2.

Read up on the Dilution sticky thread.

There is no product, nothing that can rid the body of THC. Only time and exercise can rid the body of THC.

So what you're saying is that all these years I've passed the U/As was more than likely all the mass quantities of water I drank and not the niacin?

Kinda makes me feel like an idiot that I believed an "urban myth", but when you live in a country that is at war with it's own citizens, you have a tendency to scratch a claw at anything that may further your survival.

    Thanks for the educated insight.

    Thanks guys, particularly Burnt Toast!

I've read the dilution sticky, and it's great. I'll be taking aspirin and diluting hardcore. Started taking creatine last night.

So what about my 1-2 grams of KB per day? Long term bioaccumulation, but could I consider that a low dosage, and hope for faster elimination?

How soon prior to the test should I stop exercising? 48 hours?

Stop all fat-burning activities and be lazy as possible for at least 3 days before the U/A, so you dont release a bunch of THCA into your bloodstream (as a result of fat cells being burned), which will end up in your urine to be detected.

Skip the aspirin part of the Dilution method because it is outdated. Back in the day, aspirin was used as an interferant for only one type of test: the first-generation EMIT screen. Since then, a second-gen EMIT (aka EMIT II) was introduced to counter the interference caused by aspirin. As a result, the first-gen EMIT is seldom used anymore (if, at all).

    Thanks again!

I'm planning to schedule the test Friday mid-day, so will not exercise at all Tuesday onward.

I'll take a home test Wednesday morning (first void) and post my results. I'll take another Friday morning after dilution, and hope to be in the clear......!

Does anyone know if menstruation has any effect on dilution results?

I did a trial dilution this morning, with a home test and FAILED horribly.
After totally freaking out for a few hours, I was able to get my ex to sub for me. He's the only clean person I know, and luckily we're still friends!

For a pre-employment test, should I be prepared for cameras or in-person observation in the bathroom? I checked my state's DHHS website and couldn't find any information.

Mr. Clean's Golden Elixir, good to the last drop!
