    caretaker/producer

We've been in CA but were staying in NM awhile ago. I'd like to move back to NM. I'm interested in being a caretaker, maybe a producer. What are the legalities of both of those? My b/f is qualified to be a mm patient in CA probably could be in NM, but I'd like to be a caretaker maybe producer for others as well. I'm ALLERGIC to the stuff if I ingest it in any way, so no worries with me wanting it in anyway. Also, are there people looking for responsible, reliable caretakers, or is that pretty much flooded?

Medical Cannabis Program - Infectious Disease Bureau

Everything you need to know. If your records are recent and in order, you'll have no trouble getting into the system.

Get seeds, learn to garden and take control of your medication.

Good morning to you does she mean caregiver or caretaker as in over seeing ones property?

I never heard of anyone being "allergic" to cannabis. What makes you think that you are?

I could (and would) actually be either a caretaker or caregiver. I have worked with my friend and partner in this field. Honestly, he has more experience and is interested, too. He has overseen a huge, legal medicinal farm in N. Cal. He oversaw and cared for the plants that were both outdoors and in greenhouses. He has a med. mar. card for California, and would probably qualify in NM. He also helped cancer patients in S. Cal. set up their own indoor growhouses. I worked as his assistant and am an excellent trimmer for those who can't trim their own but want it trimmed. I hope I'm saying all legal things, as I'm only familiar with the legalities of CA. In CA, you can do these things as long as the people you are caretaking for give you copies of their prescriptions to carry around. We did caretaking for mainly cancer patients, a man with anxiety disorder, and a man in chronic pain from having a stroke. As far as our paperwork, I'm not sure exactly what that means, other than neither of us have records or anything.

@coolslayer, I KNOW I'm allergic to marijuana because I've tried it before (oops), even drinking the tea once when I was in Jamaica. My throat hurt like crazy and got a bit swollen. I can't eat anything with hemp in it, though I've tried. I can touch it, though. A lot of people are allergic to weeds, meaning no marijuana or chamomile or even Stevia which is made from a weed. Thank you all again for you responses, I will check out that link. Any more info. would be great. I'd love to return to NM, we really liked living there.

It sounds like you folks did good work in Cali.

Just curious, what were the allergic effects that you experienced when you smoked cannabis? This could possibly be something that a doctor could treat.

Good luck in your effort to get certified in NM.

The effects were the same as when I drank it - sore, swollen throat that lasted for over a day. My face would get red and puff up, too. It's all highly attractive! I drank the tea about ten years ago. Haven't smoked anything for longer than that. But I have tried the hemp in some cheese. Same thing. I'm all good with it, though.

Allergic? Not sure if I am. Although I waded through my grow room the other night without my shirt on and got the little red itchy patches just like when I play with my dog. Guess I have to pay to play...
