    planting outside vs the cops

    hi

im a newbie grower and once my plant is big enough ive been told that it will be ok to plant it outside if i do the right stuff (which i wont go into right now).

the thing is im wondering about where the best place to plant is - i want it quite accessible to myself but not somewhere that will inciminate me.

one place i thought of is a little place around my house, like some unused patch of ground - a little dirty but i think i could clean it up as ive got time before i have to plant it outside.

    my questions are:
    i) where would you guys advise as the best places to plant outside? what size plots and what do i need to look out for? ive got the growers bible so i know about the obvious things buts what about your own experiences - im talking here about in the city but also i have an alternative as in some woods closeby...

    and

ii) theres always helicopters flying overhead at night so can these cameras pick up plants and such? is it a stupid idea to plant close to home?

    thanks for the advice

As long as it's not on your property it can't be linked to you, or proved to be linked to you, unless the police get a photo of you watering the plants or something. I don't mean plant them about 2 feet outside your back yard or something either lol, they'll know it's yours then. Always make sure you have a reason for being in the area where the plants are like take a bird watching book and some binoculars or something with you when you visit the plants. Finding a good outdoor spot for growing is pretty difficult, it has to be perfect. It has to be well hidden by bushes/trees but be open enough overhead to let the sun in. Plant somewhere were nobody walks like hikers or whatever, watch the area for a couple of weeks and see if anyone goes there. Never make a trail to the plants by flattening the bushes, if someone sees a path they'll walk down it just to see where it goes. The most important thing is don't tell anybody. No matter how good of a friend you may think they are they will still fuck you over. They'll either take it themselves or go around telling people about it. Trust nobody.
Check the soil in the area you want to plant in, it may be good enough to grow in. Growing in the ground means the roots have no limit to how big they can grow so the plants will grow big. Plants grown in pots will eventually become pot-bound, stunting them. If the soil is not good enough you can always dig in some quality soil/compost of your own with some sand or grit for drainage.
About helicopters- NEVER PLANT IN ROWS. This stands out like a sore thumb from above, especially in the middle of overgrown weeds and bushes etc. Plant in odd places, never make any kind of pattern, be as random as nature.
    Good luck and be careful.

    Howdy raman,

The helicopters that you see or hear, could be anything from police choppers to news and civilian choppers, when around a city, the police will use their flir cams at night to assist in fugitive capture, they don't worry about outdoor plants until it git's near harvest time,in the fall. They may find the patch and mark it on a map for later, the best arrest for the cops,is to catch ya red-handed in the middle of harvesting. You need to cut the plant down and git the heck out of there and go somewhere where ya can safely manicure it.

    Good luck...

    Have a good one !

if your only planting 1 i doubt the popo will fuck with it even if they do spot it. just keep away from hunters, hikers, friends, etc. and youll be fine. Im planting about 15 this year 5 here and there as to not attract attention, good luck!

I was wondering when you go to retrieve all your plants how do you get them from the grow spot to the vehicle (hypothetical question for forest growers). I would hate to run into someone with garbage bags of weed. Do I just stuff my backpack up.

    planting outside vs the cops

I planted mine in a random outdoor area in a state park. Here are some pics about 1 week old. The key for me is to do it in a sort random pattern (not all lined up) and notice that I kept the surrounding groundcover. IMO leving the other groundcover helps it to blend in. And unless you are looking for it you would not notice it since there are a lot of suspicious looking plants here. I don't know what they are but they look like weed from a distance. Maybe I'll snap a shot of one and post it.

Anyway, here are pics of my outdoor plants growing like crazy in the Memphis heat. Enjoy.

nice ganj ganja6294, as to the topic question, plant in a heavily vegitated area, preferably in the woods far away from any trail, 3 max plants per group, and yes it would be stupid to plant near your house (i go at least 3 miles not including the hike)
