So during my http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/...rial-grow.html , I used all LST and did a Natural plant. Ended up harvesting around 12 ounces total after eleven and a half weeks of flowering.:thumbsup:

Anywho,... During those plants Veg time I acquired two clones for myself and careee . One is a Durban poison, the other is a G13 X Afgani (So I'm told). pics 1-2

Those two plants have been vegging in a window (and under CFL's) for around five months! Needless to say I achieved two plants root bound in FIVE gallon pots, and STILL vegging. So I re-potted into 10 gallon pots because they were the size I could find (in a cheap pot). Pics 3-4

After about a week (maybe two) I built some SCRoG screen cages for them out of 2X2's and some white yard fence. The each measure 2' X 4' and are 2' tall and 2' 2" tall!

Pic 1 is just after I trimmed ALL the undergrowth out, and wove the tops into the screen.

Pic 2 is both plants (turn your head right). Durban in the back, G13 in the front (closest).

OK, final thread starting post.

So, It's been a week and two days since I Scroged my monsters. I've done a ton of branch spreading, and weaving it into the screen. This also gave me the chance to remove ANY mite damaged leaves from before the whole SCRoG. Leaving nothing but healthy leaves, and a FAR better chance of treating all of the remainders with AZAMAX.

I plan to Veg them about another week or so, Then flower them! :thumbsup: I'll also pull some clones for the next grow.

I borrowed a SolarMax Dual Arc bulb from the Boss yesterday. :thumbsup: It is used, but fired up fine and the spectrum is great! I was worried about the voltage because I'd never been able to find anything saying this bulb would fire on 110v. All the web sites with actual spec sheets showed Voltage: 240 or 220.:wtf:

However as I said it worked fine on 110v!

So, NOW I'm running the equivalent of a 600W HPS and a 400W MH in the same bulb and hood. The radiant heat generated is FAR more then the HPS I was running. But the plants are absolutely loving it. Just about 6 hours of it last night and I can already see a reaction. :thumbsup:

I really like that bulb,.... How'd ya talk the boss out of it?


I don't see any reason it wouldn't have worked on 110v,... the ballast kicks the voltage to something retarded like 3000v to fire the lights anyway. A 110v ballast would just draw more amps to do the same job...... You work with electronics, so I'm sure you already knew that.


New growth looks good, when you gonna cut clones and kick the lights?


I only need 1 clone off of the DP, One with a good shape for Bonsai, I'm gonna stay with little tiny crops of 2 flowering plants and just do perpetual harvest kinda gardening, should be able to cut a plant of either strain every month. Gotta keep my eye on the proposed law changes before I try and do more. :wtf:

Came home to some droopies yesterday. Thirsty plants. So, watered, misted with lights out until dry to both cool and allow the water to absorb or evaporate.:thumbsup: So pics were planned for today.

I believe my hefty trim job stressed them a little more then I thought it would. However the recovery is well in process. I witnessed a VERY fast burst of growth three days ago, which I expected a week ago. Plus removal of the vast majority of mite damaged, egg coated, leaves. Then three Azamax treatments appears to have ENDED my mites! :yippee:

I used my self made, Home depot parts, CFL and T12 tube hood, Then kept both plants in a south facing window. The Hood produces 17900 Lumins. I'll toss in a pic of the window. (Pic is actually the Kindawild plants in the same window. That window faces a solid wall but doesn't block the sun at all).

Oh and I did use LST! :thumbsup:

So, I still haven't started 12/12. I need to get clones off and rooted first. So they are still vegging.

The cutting I have in the cloner look good, Just not actually rooted yet. Thus it may start this week.:thumbsup:
