Ingoing water ph for soil grows (including peat moss blends) should be in the 6.3 to 6.8 range. Above or below that, and you'll develop nutrient lock-out.

Your ingoing water ph is too low, and the 'claw' effect is your first indication. I adjust my ingoing water to 6.8 ph. Peat moss mixes will become more acidic over time, as the buffers fade.

What is your water ph before adjusting?

    Thanks for your reply

Before adjusting my water ph is usually 7.0, then when I add 4.0 g of flowering mix (per gal) it drops down to 6.0 to 6.1, which I then raise to 6.2 with 20 + or - drops of PH up

Will raise the final PH per your suggestion to 6.5 using PH up

Those clawed leaves won't improve, but leave 'em there. (the plant is still using them) New growth should appear healthy.

Might want to cut-back on dilution levels for the Green Light flowering nutrients. I was giving 1 tsp per gallon, once a week. (same as 1 tsp per gallon, once a week) I couldn't really tell with those pix if overfertilizing, as I can't see the leaf margins well.

I went to double-check, and my Green Light instructions are 2 tsp per gallon for a 10 day to 2 week period. So, I'd cut back, and perhaps flush with properly ph'd water. (I use this stuff for my houseplants, and occationally for the ladies if I'm out of Fox Farms)

    Keep us informed...

Is it then safe to assume that very heavy curling of leaves is most likely a nutrient issue, or lockout? Mine are very small still, and the leaves are curled almost up under themselves. Very strange looking!

Unfortunately my problem sort of resolved itself since the effected plants were boys and they are no longer part of the crop

Did flush the one remaining problem girl with just plain water with PH raised to 6.5 for three waterings. She is now on a special diet of Grow with a after mixing PH of 6.5 and a TDS reading of 531 and is flowering nicely

The remaining plants are all doing fine and are also flowering. Although I am not really happy with their stem size am hoping that the stems will become thicker as they progress to buds
