    Hydroponics Garden

This my revised garden after I received a lot of info from everyone here. I have Purple Urkel in the sure to grow cube. I have the pump turning on 15min. every two hours. I have two hoses on the cube and have the water level at about a third full and two long air stones at the bottom which are on 24/7. No nutrients in the tub yet. I am using 4ft T5 bulbs on it. I am growing in my closet, and the water is at around 6.0.

Any info. or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Setup doesnt look bad at all but I'll let someone else chime in here as I normally sprout the seeds before putting into basket.

I don't know how well they will germ like that maybe the paper towel method first.

Setup looks good. The only thing to me is the drip lines. They will serve you well untill the plants start following the water. A few will go down and a few will follow the source. Roots will grow into the water lines and block them. This is not a problem if you only use the drip to start and then go DWC and cut off the drip. Stealth hydro uses little rockwool cubes that are wrapped with plastic on the sides. Top and bottom are open so when the water is running it doesn't over water the rockwool and only lets the roots go out the bottom.

It is easier to try than to prove it can't be done.

Fine tuning any system is what succes is all about. You have a heads up on the drip lines so you are now ahead of me in the game. LOL

Thanks guys, a lot of help. I am going to remove the pump as soon as the roots reach the water. Thanks for the heads up on the root growth I will keep and eye on that. I plan to hopefully go DWC when the roots reach the water. I will keep updates on my grow, as this is my first try at hydroponics. Any advice will help if I do something wrong please correct me.

    Thanks

As long as plant grows and provides fruit doesnt matter how it is done as long as you get resultd when finished.

You are right as long as I get results everything will ok. I have f'ed up about 7 good seeds already so I am trying to get this down by doing one seed at a time. I germinated the seed till it cracked and had the tiny tip of the root poking out.

Should I of waited till I had about a 1/4 inch of a root?

It could've sped the process up a tiny bit if you would've waited but either way she'll reach for the light:thumbsup:Keep the water level about two inches from the bottom of the rock cube and they should come bursting outta their soon in about a week. Setup looks good just keep posting and someone will keep helping.

as long as it cracked and started to come out you should be ok. I tried to wait one time and started with just the tip as you said, I went to work and came home and the sob was out about a half inch or so.

Well she was been in the garden for two day with no change what so ever. Nothing has even peeked out. When she was in the incubator she popped peaked out and that was it, I kept her in their for four more days with no more growth. I put her in the garden hoping that she would reach out but like I said two days later and nothing is growing.

The fact that she did not root any more at all in the four days she was in the incubator, could that of been a sign that she died or was not going to grow any more?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

my advice is to at least use some rapid rooter plugs before putting anything into a hydro setup...Once they have gone through the bottom with roots...it is ready to be put into your bucket...Just my thoughts.
