Is there a decent store bought soil for growing?

I have no problem with MG soil other than i get more gnats than I care for. I use FF Ocean Forest, but it is a bit more $$ than MG. To each his own.

that's because the stores leave the bags out in the open...the gnats lay their eggs

Sooo, is MG Moisture Control bad?
