I tried that paperclip thing but to no avail Any other ideas?

And yes it is a metal pipe screen. I've tried jimmy8778's idea but again; to no avail. I've decided to try the old fashioned tin foil way, but even if that works, I doubt it'll stop the pipe from heating up

I'll post what I've found out once I've done this (which will hopefully be later tonight). If you have any ideas before then please don't hesitate to post it

Hey, I got a glass pipe today and I was hoping to get some info about these pipes ^^ I was just wondering how high does a glass pipe get you and mainly a couple of questions: 1. When I start to light, the glass heats up resulting in burning my hand/fingers so I figured I'm probably doing it wrong XD How do I light without burning myself? 2.
