    New grower needs quick ideas!

I watered a burm near my plants all night and in the morning 4 of my 9 plants are totally saturated and have standing water in them and it is still draining into them. I've dug a little hole onthe edge of each hole about 8-12 inches deep to dipp out water. I'm doing this several times a day. Feeder roots are being uncovered. My holes are dug into hard packed clay so this would probably take 2 weeks to drain. Can anyone help with more idea/suggestions. It would be greatly appriciated. Thank You Tonkaak

you should never plant directly into hard pack. if you must, always dig your ole 2x-3x bigger and deeper than youll need. fill the hole about 1/3rd with various sized rocks, and then burlap or something similar on top of them ( the rocks) . fill the jole the rest of the way with a good premium potting soil and plant as usual.

as it stands now, you should be OK if they are outside as they will use the water and dispel the rest thru their leaves. besides youd be real suprised how fast that shit will suck the water up and dissipate it......if it worries you that much, dig them up and pot them and prep your holes correctly, but if you do pot them , leave them potted a minimum of 14 days before retransplanting them
