What's the catch?
Well, you do have to put in some time and effort.
Just keep reading the stickys n the archives.
Then, when you have actual, specific, questions, you will know how to ask, and who to trust, for the best answers.
As for hints?
Here's a good one.
Don't waste money on Superthrive.
It's just about worthless and can kill your plants.
If that statements pushes anyone's "buttons" so be it.
I'm one of the very few folks to have actually done a side by side grow test with Superthrive and so far, have found no benefit.
Now if anyone else has actually done a side by side test, with different results, I'm keen to hear about it.
(A good scientist is always willing to change his opinions when presented with new facts, yah?)
Welcome aboard.
Aloha,
Weezard

...Welcome, oh blaze530, to the best site fo' info on our fave 'erb on de net!
Weezard is right in that you should do some reading before asking, but there are lots of hep'ful people on this site (Weez being amongst the forefront!) who would be glad to offer advice and/or tips...
I can't believe that I've actually found something to disagree with Weezard on, tho... I personally like Sup3rthr!v3, or its knockoffs, but more for the younglings and sickly/stressed plants that need a bit of a boost. It does seem to help seeds to sprout more vigorously, but that is at a concentration of 25drops per ga. I will, however, concede that I have not yet done a side-by-side grow test with it, but y'know, that sounds like a good idea, Weez...
A minor recommendation about lighting... what you have right now is fine, but they'll need a lot more light soon. If you're sticking with CFLs, buy 6500k or 4100k bulbs for the vegetative period, and 2700k colour temp when it comes time to flower. LOTS more bulbsIf you can, pick up the ones put out by SunBl4st3r, because for 26w, they put out 2500 lumens, making them the most efficient at lumens per watt.

...agreed, Weezard, on the benefits of empirical testing and scientific method. Now that you've practically dared me to, I think I'll put me next garden into testing that theory out.
I also agree that most of their sales pitch is mega-hyperbole, but they've been around a bit, and there has to be something in what they offer, otherwise, they'd'a gone outta biz a long time ago.
The only people who can get away lying about something for that long are politicians
If what they say is in there, is in there, then one prolly wouldn't need much of it to gain beneficial effect. If one's plants were pretty healthy to begin with, one prolly wouldn't notice much dif. They did seem to react well to it when I was nursing 'em back from some heat stress...
Thinking about doing just four plants for the next crop, but long veg. and mega-LST... might just set up two of 'em to get ST, and two of 'em not, and see what happens
And hey! Don't eat all the flies, Weez! Save some for my lovely little new Venus Flytrap
