Vendor thoughts
As a Vendor i have noticed a donation differential between LA suburbs and San Fran area from Jan until recently of about one to two hundred dollars a pound. In the last few weeks my product, high end consistent strain, has marketed at an equal price in both markets.
Also of interest to me is other Vendor's thoughts on consignment. I have done this a very few times. When I began I was desperate and the first retailer I connected with seemed a Godsend, especially as I was coming into the market at the tail end of OutDoor between Xmass and New Years. Yeah, that was fun. So I still let him push me into consignment now and then. I have found that if I spend a well coordinated day in the LA area I will move all my product 5 out of 6 times. So consignment is a deal breaker for me 95% of the time.
Any other Vendors out that that want to weigh in or add other thoughts?cybmas Reviewed by cybmas on . I'm not a vendor or even in California or anything but just wondering could the recent crackdown on the L.A. clubs cause the spike in price. Was L.A. paying a higher or lower differential before? just courious. :stoned: hope you get some response and welcome to can com. :rasta:

La has been donating a higher amount than up north. Until just recently. One possibility is that I am just noticing the normal price uptick one might expect before the advent of outdoor season, combined with a dampening effect on the LA markets as they increase their liquidity in response to uncertainties.
I expect no significant change in demand from these latest wranglings, so it will be a matter of watching the business settle into the pockets and areas that choose to scoop up the HUGE revenue. For example if LA shuts down 500 dispensaries, how much tax revenue will flow into Costa Mesa?
To be honest doing business in LA proper is a bit masochistic. As a general rule, though I am sure there are exceptions, they are run down shoe string operations run by hustlers and cheap skates.

I have a question about vending to clubs. How are you supposed to grow and deliver a pound ( what I hear the min. they take is ) of weed without falling WAY outside the current laws? If they take your product and make you a verified vendor fine ( if they do such a thing) but before that they want to see your product and maybe they buy it and maybe they don't. So until they do if you are just one patient ( a single person ) and live in, say, LA the most the law wants you to carry is 8oz. how does that work?
My basic point here is how do I provide medicine to a club without coloring crazy far outside the lines of the law. I mean I love growing, and I want to help people get what they need, and be compensated for my time, but if there is no protection whatsoever from time of growing to actual sale to a club... might as well just sell drugs on the street. The money is better and the penalties are the same. I realize the laws are still wishey washey but there must be something I am missing. Are people just growing pot and hoping not to get caught before they sell it to clubs? is there a more legal way to go about becoming a vendor? just wanted some input from actual vendors, saw one here and well, the rant got away from me. Thanks for your time and help.
