Shov's Summer 2010 Grow
Now 5 weeks into bloom and the afghani buds are all seedy and I have no idea where the pollen came from. They still have time to put out lots of new buds though. The sativa hybrid matured a few weeks after the afghani so I doubt that the sativa pollenated the afghani. As I will point out, the afghanis also have a hermie this grow.
Photos of the grow. The plants were drying out when I looked at them today so I wet them down and fed them before I took the photos.

In the garden, four Z11xNH runts. They are starting to take off! The first is the hermie. There is the one cluster of stamen as shown in the photo. So far that's it. I'll remove them, just wanted to wait untill I capture a good photo of the M/F flowers in one frame.

too bad about the hermie.....lots of seeds for your next grow.
I love that picture of the hermie......now that I think about it I have not check any of my plants for hermie's....
since they are all clones it should not happen, but you know I do have some DJ short blue blue berry in my Veg room from seeds and have not been sexed....:wtf: I guess I need to check them in a few weeks as they are only 10 inches tall right now and under 24/7 light.
keep the picture's going.

Sorry for the demi-Jack there Shov,.... I've been stalking this thread since it started!
I"m with Ya on the Hermi thing,... My GDP kept herming, so I cut the strain,.... tho I did keep some beans. I'll give a few seed grows a shot, if I get a stable fem I'll keep it.
Good luck with cutting off the herm branches,... I "Thought" I had gotten them all,... and have the beans to show for it!

I don't mind when a strain will put out one or two beans to the ounce. Bonus points! It's nice to have them feminized seeds to grow. I just don't understand how these indoor plants got so seedy when I've never seen a single sac. I've not grown a 'seed crop' in years, but even then I don't think I ever got a plant like these. Now days I pollenate a single branch if I want seeds. That has worked very well for me.
Thanks for the replies, folks.

I was just trying to make some light of the Hermie....and seeds...sorry.
I know when you get to the point of having seeds in your crop...it's almost time to cry...
Same thing happend to us last year on an out door grow....15 plants were
affected by one Hermie....It was not my grow....but a good friend of mine did check his plants for a few days..and bam. The plants affected were mostly clones except the hermie which was from seed. All posts by this user should be considered fictional and are for entertainment use only.
