Stop smoking (Cutting back may not be good enough) for a couple of weeks and drink green tea. If it persists, go to the doctor and take an over the counter decongestant and/or cough supressant. Make sure you're honest with the doctor and tell him/her that you smoke.

I dont like wake up early in the morning choking up, I dont like being in school and have to spit out a loogy, and I definitly dont like making out with my bf and keep thinking about how I need to cough.
