Stop smoking (Cutting back may not be good enough) for a couple of weeks and drink green tea. If it persists, go to the doctor and take an over the counter decongestant and/or cough supressant. Make sure you're honest with the doctor and tell him/her that you smoke.

i smoke cigarettes(a pack a day) and i smoke weed everyday. my cough has gotten so bad recently...i have no choice but to quit for a few days. guess alcohol is gonna have to hold me over until then....sigh.

yeah i ot it to at the moment, i keep wanting to cough up flem and i find it slightly harder to breath. sucks
