leaving it unattended for a month
started it in a peat disc "thing". ground up like 7-8 of em into a cup and that was its home. now its in the earth. i dug a hole roughly the size of a bucket. mixed the dirt from the hole with potting soil i bought at wally world. now i gotta leave in the next few days for about a month. it gets plenty of sunshine. the only problem is the dirt. shitty dirt surrounding my hole. the water table is a hundred or more feet down. its in a run-off area, near a small ravine. im thinking about burying some jugs of water with holes inem to keep the soil from getting too dry...we will see how it turns out:jointsmile:

Look for terracotta in-ground water jugs. You bury it beside the plant, fill it with water and the water leaches from the jug keeping the soil moist. You can also get a product called Soil Moist that expands and holds water up to 400x it's mass. They are a kind of crystalline product. If you go the Soil Moist route do a little research. There are two types - one leaches chemicals that will get into your plant. You want the other one...

Use this:
DriWater, Inc. The Natural Plant, Shrub and Tree Watering Solution - Waters Plants from 30 to 90 Days - Indoor and Outdoor.
I left some for about 3 weeks with this DriWater jelly stuff, and they loved it. When I got back they were healthier than when I left.
Then about 2 weeks later they all got chewed by rabbits.... Go figure.

leaving it unattended for a month
damn guys sry i havent updated this grow log!
anyway...i came back almost exactally 1 month later and she is a beauty! i measured her at 34". and that was almost a week ago. i measured her again the other day and she was 38". 4" in less than a week seems pretty sweet. ive been looking at her several times a day and hve noticed holes in the leaf. small bugs on her and even small grass hopper things. i flick em off when i see em. i also have been pissing around her and spreading dog hair around her to scare away animals. (the other day i seen a baby dear 10 feet away from her) but shes doin good. im doin it again. u can find pics of her so far in my other threads i cant wait to post em on here.
on a side note ive germinated bout 10 more seeds and bout 8 of em sprouted so i put em in the peat disc things again. same exact method. this time im gonna try different things in different parts of my yard n see what happens! lovin this shit! :stoned::stoned:

to inform yall more AND to get my post count up id like to add that im not gonna do ANYTHING physically to the plant as far as topping, fimming. or LSTing. all natural. just a pot-head seein what happens to be honest. but horticulture is most definatly a growing interest. this site has helped a shit ton!

best of luck with your plants. If you have a few bucks the hardware store sells varmint repellant for under $10.
