bushiness is mainly dependant on amount of light the plant gets, and its genetics, it will be near on impossible to get a 100% sativa plant as bushy as a 100% indica, but in ignorance to the genetics find a good spot with lots of sunlighto directo and your plant will be pretty bushy with small internode spacing, i myself am unsure whether topping/fimming affects the internode spacing but it will give it more tops which will make it appear more bushy :thumbsup::thumbsup:

to minimize height u cud always try training the main stem along the floor....?

One way to avoid cutting the girl up is to use a really wide pot that doesn't havethat much height. Maybe about 5 inches of depth with about 20 inches of witdh so the pot is really like a rectangle. That doesn't give the plants much vertical growth and allows them to grow wide.

While the plant is young and flexible, bend the stem over and tie it diwn with twist ties or string, an continue to do this as it grows back up toward the light... Thats LST, and you will love the results.

Tie the branches down and they'll grow outward instead of upward. You can even tie the top down so that it grows sideways. If you're growing indoors you can switch to flourescent lights. You can buy the fixtures at home depot for like $10 each. If you let them veg. under flourescents, they will stretch, and end up more branchy.

Hey man congrats on the card man:hippy:. I tend to pitch the fim, but only because you can put one in a flower tray. Iv grown 2 plants in one and was ok, but would only grow one each tray works great. I got 7 top's last year using the fim and believe its your best bet at a good yield on your patio.

Here is a pic that i took after taking the 7 colas off the top. I should have let them grow, but got that newbie freak thing and was afraid id never get the harvest. So i guess i would have got something. But in all i got about a 1/4lb.

These come in different size too so you could get bigger im sure, but this size worked well. Plus if ya wanted to pull them in you pad for some reason, its pretty easy. You could do 3 or 4 im sure and you can see what the fim did if your look where i took the tops.

Good luck man and if you need help with the fim just let me know bro

I found this nice description with drawings for LST, while this is my first time trying this method so far so good.

After about 3 weeks and 2 hooks in my plant is doing quite well.

I have been looking into biochar and here is what I have found...

There is a lot of debate as to biochar's benefits for crops. Last month myself and one of the partners went to a conference on the Colorado university campus, the one in boulder. Well, I was talking to a scientist dude from the FDA and he was saying that biochars best hope for cost-effective crop enhancement is in potted plants. So that's what got us thinking of using this stuff to help grow the dankest dank!

It is supposed to increase plant growth while in vegetative and flowering stages and increases yield on some plants up to 200% not to mention that it is good for the environment and soil!

Has anyone grown cannabis with this stuff?
