copobo Reviewed by copobo on . 4 jillion lawsuits someone said there were 425 lawsuits ready to be files when 1284 got signed. is this happening? I kidof expected a biggie to get filed and for their to be some news. (i.e. the 5 patient caregiver limit, and a westword or huff post article by the corry's talking about how they are about to kick ass) ? Rating: 5Colorado patient grower. :rambohead:

The time frame for lawsuits isn't days, but months and years. It will take time. Sure, Corry could go to federal court and ask for an injunction, but the chances of a federal judge granting one are slim. I'd rather activist attorneys with limited resources take their time and concentrate on finding one perfect case to push than dissipate their efforts. Patience, patients!

At this stage a lawsuit would be a waste. Judges are lothe to rule against the state unless blantant constitutional flaws exist in the law. It is their job to interept the law, not make it.
I would bet that July 1st there will be a flurry of legal activity. That is when it will get busy. Past that point I have no idea how this will play out.
It also takes time for a case to work its way through the courts. Lots of time. I would hope a judge issues a TRO while this happens.
Copobo had it right aways back when he said "The game changes."

You are correct. I keep thinking the bill turned into law when the governor signed it and it's in effect now.

How about a billboard at I-70/I-25 with some clever remark.

feel free. I posted a large version on here somewhere.
if you actually are going to print it, I'll redo it so it's nicer..
that Romer guy... he's one evil bastard. only cares about self-aggrandizement and not ONE BIT about taking care of those he should be protecting. His treatment of MMJ patients will spill over into everything he touches. it will be the scar that never heals.Colorado patient grower. :rambohead:

This kind of acrimony is silly. Just because you and he disagree about business regulation does not mean he is a monster. Romer has always been a friend of education, and the ACLU ranks him very highly (92%) on his defense of civil rights and civil liberties.

you've gotta be kidding me. he's a fucken liar.
the ACLU loves him for trying to get in-state tuition for illegal alians in Colorado.
It would be nice if he gave a damn about Colorado patients - and he most certainly does not.
He's just looking for the limelight, and the mmj issue was the brightest opportunity for press this session - and after his last failed 'big' legislation - he was willing to do whatever it took to pass his fucken bill. Even if it meant creating a bad bureaucracy and hurting Colorado's most vulnerable - the patient and the small business owner!
this kind of acrimony is well deserved, and I hope he is voted out of office and never again is able to railroad a process with such disregard for the Constitution. He is an evil mofo, and don't you forget it.Colorado patient grower. :rambohead:
