if i was the prez and this happened off of my shores.i would have told bp they had 1 week to get this done.after a week they would get pushed aside and i would have had an american team or who ever was the best come in and fix it with no delay.then i would have told bp all costs incurred they would have to pay.no expense would be withheld.

the media needs controversy for ratings$$. politicians need votes. billions of ppl drink kool-aid. if you cant connect those dots just keep thinking tv is giving you real information.
Obama can't be everywhere at once and he is doing his best to fix a screwed economy, record unemployment, 2 active wars, and the worst disaster of this type EVER.
I have to live with the fallout of this oilspill as my family lives on the Gulf Coast as well as I myself live on the gulf. But I know enough to know it is going to take a whole lot of work to fix this problem for years to come yet. But it is in no way Obama's fault, but greedy big oil! Obama answers to his daughter also who told her daddy to fix that leak. LOL

anyone see the statements by Joe Barton?

he knelt down and took the oil industry's manhood in his mouth and tickled their balls.

i will not even go into party bashing... individually, that man just slammed the best thing Odrama has done yet.

Can you say bought and paid for by Big Oil? Give a man (or a woman) enough money and they will tell you the sky is green. He is just a whore who wears a suit.

Watching Tony Hayward getting grilled by congress... Bob and weave... Kinda makes me want to barf.

I would imagine this thread is kinda radioactive after you know who got banned....nuff said.

Say good-bye to half of the gulf coast. But that's ok with Joe. He's been paid for.

Twenty billion will not scratch the surface of the liability B.P. faces.

    What a clusterf##k.

Of course this was done on purpose, helloooo! Goldman Sachs sold off 4.6 million shares of BP stock, 2 days before this all happened. It's a money maker and it's also gonna help shove cap and trade down our throats...duh.

Babe, you are seeing things. I too love a good conspiracy theory. I'm sorry to say you are in left field looking for daisies. BP plc has a float of 3.1 billion shares. That's Billion with a B. Goldman trades millions of those shares on a daily baisis. BP has a average volume of 144.4 million shares traded daily (10 day avg).

To suggest that BP did this on purpose is crazy talk. Do you actualy think BP would commit suicide for 1% and change of their float? Just so Goldman would not lose money?

Many traders went short the day of the accident. Since that day they have almost doubled their investment. Maybe they blew up the rig.

I was one of them. Maybe I blew up the rig.

I'm sure Goldman has made a ton of money off this mess. Maybe they blew it up.

See what I am saying? In any large event people make money and lose money. Just the way it is.

Cap and trade will not happen any time soon. I do expect a carbon tax proposal soon though.
