    Spinal cord injury, need instructions

I've recently moved to NM and am interested in acquiring a medical marijuana license. I have a permanent spinal cord injury that impairs my mobility and causes something that feels like painful electric shocks and spasming through my leg. The condition of my spine also causes bad headaches and feelings of nausea and stiffness. I have a library full of records and also a psychiatrist diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder. I don't want to get turned down and have to wait months to re apply..my state insurance also hasn't gone through so I will be paying for this evaluation out of pocket. Is someone willing to give me explicit step by step instructions to make this as swift and cost effective as possible? Thank you very much.:hippy:

    Spinal cord injury, need instructions

    From the internet:
The New Mexico Department of Health allows patients with the following medical diagnoses to be permitted to use medical cannabis. Patients must be certified eligible to participate in the program by a medical provider, and must renew the certification annually.

Currently, there are 16 qualifying conditions: severe chronic pain, Inflammatory Autoimmune-mediated Arthritis, painful peripheral neuropathy, intractable nausea/vomiting, severe anorexia/cachexia, hepatitis C infection currently receiving antiviral treatment, Crohnâ??s disease, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrigâ??s disease), cancer, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with intractable spasticity, epilepsy, HIV/AIDS and hospice patients.

More information about the medical cannabis program administered by the New Mexico Department of Health is available at Medical Cannabis Program - Infectious Disease Bureau

It sounds like you will meet the criteria. There are suggestions about practitioners in the sticky thread (cool doc?) at the top of this forum. Good luck!
    peace :hippy:
